Reading on County - Bookclub

The book we are reading for our next Reading on Country discussion group is the best-seller by Layla Saad, Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor.

This book is for Allies: it's for those who see systemic racism around them and ask, “What can I do personally, to make a difference?"

Layla Saad offers us a 28 day anti-racism tool. The reader is invited to participate in 28 days of journal exercises to explore their unconscious beliefs and ways of being. It helps the reader to unearth their reflexive beliefs of white normality, or superiority.

We have copies available at the Yarra Plenty Regional Library, and it is also available in bookshops, though you may need to order it. Get reading and journalling and come to the next Reading on Country session for a stimulating discussion!
